FEC has appointed HG Construction to deliver 316 rental homes in the 34‑storey NT02 building at Red Bank. The appointment is part of a £225 million package covering 895 homes across NT02 and the separate NT03 buildings.
Delivery is phased, with NT02 completion targeted for 2029 and part of the programme expected to start in early 2027, subject to Gateway 2 approval.
Strategic context
FEC became Manchester City Council's Victoria North joint‑venture partner in 2017 and has already delivered schemes including MeadowSide and New Cross Central. The Red Bank rental tower advances that established regeneration activity into another construction phase.
A dedicated built‑to‑rent building gives investors a clearer future operating asset within the much larger masterplan. Its delivery can benefit from the wider neighbourhood investment. The separate approval position of neighbouring plots also matters when judging how quickly competing homes in the programme will reach the market.
