Keepmoat has acquired the Amber Drive site in Langley Mill from Wise Living. The proposed build‑to‑rent scheme comprises 119 energy‑efficient houses and apartments. The railway‑side brownfield land requires remediation, and public brownfield funding has helped make the development viable.
Geldards advised Wise Living during the sale.
Strategic context
Keepmoat has an established housebuilding presence in the Nottingham area and the Langley Mill purchase extends that activity into a dedicated rental development. Wise Living had already taken the site through technical and planning work before selling it, giving the buyer a more advanced starting point than an unconsented land purchase.
Brownfield funding helps address costs that a conventional land appraisal may not support.
For rental investors, the next test is whether remediation and construction can be delivered within the budget while retaining rents that the local market can sustain.
