The off-market acquisition gives Weave an operating foothold in inner‑city Ultimo, close to the University of Technology Sydney and the University of Sydney. The asset will move onto Weave's vertically integrated operating platform and transition to its Campus brand for the 2027 academic year.
A staged redesign and repositioning programme is scheduled to begin in September 2026. The transaction is separate from Weave's 2025 purchase of a DA‑approved development site in nearby Glebe.
Strategic context
For Weave Living, the acquisition adds immediate operating PBSA exposure in Australia without taking development or initial lease‑up risk. It complements the separate Glebe development site and provides a live platform for the local rollout of the Campus brand ahead of Weave's planned first institutional capital partnership in Australia. The repositioning programme supports a value‑add strategy while retaining exposure to two major Sydney universities.
More broadly, the deal extends Weave's Asia‑Pacific living platform into one of the region's deepest education markets.
