Intesa Sanpaolo's IMI Corporate & Investment Banking division will channel the EIB funds to selected public and private project promoters.
EIB financing can cover up to 50% of each eligible project's cost, with other funding and promoter equity covering the balance. Eligible projects include new student residences alongside social and affordable housing.

The agreement advances Intesa Sanpaolo's 2026 ‑ 2029 plan to expand social lending and affordable‑housing finance.
For the EIB, it extends a strategic priority in social infrastructure, using a national banking partner to reach more eligible housing developers.
