Rooms Group is delivering the works at Mulberry Court, close to Liverpool's Metropolitan Cathedral. The first phase will provide 98 rooms for 2027/28, followed by 139 for 2028/29. The programme covers Chestnut and Vine House, Walnut House, Cypress House and Porter Lodge. The buildings date from the late 1970s and range from four to six storeys.
Strategic context
For UQ Partnerships, backed by Kexgill Group, the project advances a model of partnering with universities to refurbish existing campus stock and expand affordable provision.
The partners see scope to replicate the approach at other universities.
