The sale covers the Ørneveien, Komsa, and Tollevikveien student residences. According to Samskipnaden, affected residents will be supported, and sufficient accommodation will be retained to meet local demand.
With the sale concluded, Samskipnaden will now focus on developing its Nyland housing in collaboration with UiT, students, and staff.
Strategic context
Samskipnaden originally announced its decision to sell these properties in September following weaker demand in Alta, where a shift toward online and block‑based studies has reduced the need for year‑round accommodation. The organisation also identified substantial maintenance requirements across parts of the portfolio.
Selling the properties together advances this restructuring and shifts attention to the retained Nyland housing stock.
