From a number of globally ranked universities to a diverse population and rich cultural heritage, Spain's capital and most populous city, Madrid, has much to offer, securing its place among Europe’s most popular study destinations. With over 33,000 students, about 15% international, there is still a substantial gap in Madrid between an ever-growing demand and the current supply of purpose-built student accommodation, with market saturation at 5.7%.
The development of student housing in Madrid over the next few years is expected to be shaped by both the expansion of the market’s leading players and the arrival of new international entrants, with a cumulative pipeline of approximately 3,100 new beds.
