Telford Living has submitted a planning application for a 520-bed purpose-built student accommodation scheme in Bethnal Green, east London, as the developer continues to expand its pipeline across the capital’s living sectors. The proposals, lodged with the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, would see the redevelopment of the existing LEB Building on Cambridge Heath Road into a student housing scheme, delivering a mix of cluster rooms and studios.

A new student campusis taking shape south of Montpellier. To support the relocation of the MBS school from Alco to Cambacérès (scheduled to open in March 2027 for an effective start of the academic year in September 2027), the City of Montpellier and its developer, the Altémed group, have taken the opportunity to develop the supply of student accommodation in this part of the city, particularly in the new ZAC République and Rive Gauche, located on both sides of Avenue de la Mer.
Europe: Stoneweg targets €1 billion in European residential investment in 2026

“We’re looking at a number of living projects across Europe, including flex living and BTS in Spain, PBSA in Italy, PBSA and co-living in the UK,” said Ariadna Nijssen, the Geneva-based manager’s senior director of investments in Europe. Stoneweg currently manages €3 billion of residential assets globally, half in Europe and half in the US. The firm’s expansion in the regional sector follows Stoneweg’s acquisition of Cromwell’s European business in 2024.
