Vita Group has secured a £146.1 million senior development loan from Eldridge Real Estate Credit for the Vita Student First Street scheme in Manchester. Construction of the 170,000 sq ft purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) development, which will provide 861 beds, is already underway following Building Safety Act approval. Completion is targeted for June 2028 ahead of the 2028/29 academic year.
Ireland, Athlone: Longford developer given extension to complete multi-million euro Athlone student housing

A Longford developer behind a seven-figure student accommodation project in Athlone has been given a further three years to complete the ambitious venture. The extensive plans, which were the brainchild of Longford-based construction firm Avenir Homes, had been approved permission for 122 residential units, 283 bedspace accommodation and a state of the art creche in the local townlands of Cartrontroy, Kilnafaddoge, Lissywollen and Ardnaglug.
