Singapore-based private equity investment firm Q Investment Partners (QIP) and integrated property group Soilbuild have announced a £200 million ($328 million) platform to invest in purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) in the UK.

UK, West Lancashire: McCarthy Stone gets green light for 67 Burscough homes

West Lancashire Council has approved the senior living developer’s plans for 48 apartments and 19 bungalows off Chancel Way. Situated on nearly 1.5 acres off Chancel Way, the Burscough resi project breaks down to 19 two-bed bungalows, 19 two-bed apartments, and 29 one-bed flats.

It is important to promote the affordability of housing for older people and to recognize megatrends at an early stage. According to Sabine Müller, CMO of Value One, the "Silver Society" megatrend describes the effects of a fundamental change in the age structure of our society.

Sustainability in senior housing. The market report "Senior Living Austria" published by Silver Living was also presented. According to Marina Woitek, Head of Consulting at Silver Living, there is an additional need for up to 100,000 senior living options throughout Austria by 2030. She also found that too many people currently live in care facilities who would not need this. In assisted living complexes, seniors can be cared for up to care level 3, but also beyond.
