Ireland, Letterkenny: Landmark Letterkenny developments gets go-ahead

Conditional planning permission has been granted for the development, which will see the construction of six-story, four-story and two-storey buildings that will include 154 student bedrooms, 13 apartments, a restaurant and a church just off the Station Roundabout.

UK, Nottingham: Nottingham tower block for 400 students ‘on target’ for completion in 2024

A 12-storey block for more than 400 students is taking shape and ‘on target’ to be completed by August 2024. Development consultants Lichfields and architecture practice Consarc had submitted plans for the 12-storey block, purpose built for 406 students, alongside a taller 22-storey tower, to accommodate 163 private rent apartments, and a smaller nine-storey block, to accommodate a further 75.

Canada, Vancouver: UBC to build 4,800 new student housing beds for $1.4 billion

According to UBC, it is now the largest university provider of student housing in Canada. With Tuesday’s opening of Brock Commons North, the university’s newest student housing building with 316 beds, the total number of student beds at the Vancouver campus is now 13,205. There are also 2,120 beds at the Okanagan campus, which puts UBC’s total on-campus student housing capacity at 15,325 beds.

Germany, Berlin: INDUSTRIA buys 98 rental apartments for EUR 36.3 million

INDUSTRIA has purchased a rental building in Nuthetal. The seller is DAHEIM in Saarmund Wohnungsbau GmbH, a subsidiary of the Berlin project developer and property manager GOKOM Verwaltungs GmbH. The total investment amounts to 36.3 million euros.

Canada, Fleurimont: New senior residence with 75 units in Fleurimont

The new retirement home will rise on Duplessis Road, near Super C. Named Les Habitations Bella Terra, the service-free RPA will be four stories tall and have 75 units. The project will be completed in 2025.

France, Routot: A future residence for senior citizens will be built in the city center in Routot

Thanks to two projects, a rental and a joint rental, the senior residence could accommodate 80 to 100 people. The project should move to the next phase at the beginning of 2024. The building permit can thus be obtained during the year for the start of work in 2025.

Germany, Sulz am Neckar: The "Angelika-Wössner-Stift" is in operation

New building on Stuttgarter Strasse. The entire project should be completed in the next few weeks and fully occupied by the end of the year. It contains 60 rooms and each room has its own bathroom. A day care center and social center will be added to the project, which will start functioning after the completion of the construction of 44 barrier-free apartments for seniors, and a house for employees for five shared apartments.
