CAF Bank is providing £12 million to fund energy‑efficient social‑rental homes, alongside £10 million from Danske Bank. The loans complete a £77 million annual funding round, which also includes £40 million from Santander for new construction and £15 million from Barclays for improvements to existing homes.
Strategic context
Magenta isaiming to deliver 1,300 new homes by 2030, with 85% planned in Wirral and the balance elsewhere in the Liverpool city region. CAF's green facility links the financing of new social‑rental homes to an EPC rating of B or above, making energy performance a condition of the financing while also supporting better energy efficiency for residents.
