Snow Island comprises 89 cluster flats and was acquired with vacant possession. MCR is refurbishing the residence ahead of its relaunch under the Flow Student brand, with completion scheduled for February 2027.
Strategic context
MCR bought three Sheffield residences from Unite in August, adding 1,163 beds to Flow Student. Snow Island expands the Flow Student portfolio into Huddersfield through another refurbishment project and brings the wider portfolio to more than 9,000 beds.
Generating rental income will depend on completing the refurbishment and bringing the vacant rooms back into use.
