ProRail has transferred the strip of land alongside the railway and relocated cables and utilities for a future student housing project. The agreement allows the development to move forward.
No construction start or opening date has yet been confirmed.
Strategic context
ProRail has been working with the municipality to make the land available for development and resolve utility‑related constraints while keeping the railway operational. Schieveste is also one of the national government's designated locations for accelerated housing development. A previously constrained plot can now move towards development, although construction near the railway still requires careful coordination.
