Far East Orchard has completed the acquisition of King's Place at the junction of Borough High Street and Harper Road. Southwark Council has consented a 444‑room PBSA scheme, alongside eight affordable homes and around 1,850 sq m of workspace.
The seller is LDC (Portfolio) Limited, a company associated with Unite Students. The transaction follows non‑binding heads of terms announced earlier this summer and gives Far East Orchard control of a development‑ready central London site.
Strategic context
The acquisition expands Far East Orchard's UK development pipeline into central London and adds a consented project of institutional scale. It also reduces early planning risk and gives the group a platform for further growth in a supply‑constrained market.
