Telford Living has exchanged contracts to acquire a site at the corner of International Way and Montfichet Road in Stratford from the Department for Transport and HS1.
The company has submitted plans for a 749‑bed PBSA‑led mixed‑use scheme across two buildings, with 50% of the student accommodation designated as affordable. The proposal also includes public space, landscaping, pedestrian links and student amenities.
Subject to consent, construction is expected to start in 2028 and completion is targeted for 2032.
Strategic context
The acquisition expands Telford Living's PBSA pipeline in a major east London growth node and gives it control of a transit‑oriented site beside Stratford International. The affordable component strengthens the planning proposition while preserving institutional scale in one of London's best‑connected university markets.
