Home & Co operates 19 purpose‑built student housing locations across Germany, providing more than 3,500 beds in university cities including Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich and Stuttgart. The vertically integrated platform runs its acquisition, asset management and day‑to‑day operating functions in‑house.

Over the past 12 months, it has added four sites comprising nearly 1,000 beds and entered two additional German markets. TPG, Madison and Home & Co's management plan to enhance the standing portfolio, pursue further expansion and advance the platform's ESG strategy.

Strategic context

The minority investment injects growth capital without disrupting control or operational leadership, allowing TPG and Home & Co's management to continue executing the existing strategy. Madison's entry also creates a liquidity solution around an established platform rather than requiring a portfolio sale.

The structure positions Home & Co to consolidate further in a German market where demand for professionally managed accommodation continues to exceed supply.

For investors, the transaction underlines the premium placed on scaled, vertically integrated PBSA platforms with demonstrable operating performance.
